The Hill School’s Humanities Program Gets a Traditional and Innovative Update
With a gift from The Hill School’s loyal alumnus Jim Alexandre ’75 and his wife, Julie, the humanities program now has an updated home in the Levis ’45-Alexandre ’75 Center for The Humanities. This was a major renovation project involving architects, electricians, audio-visual technicians, and artisan craftsmen familiar with historic restoration and renovation. The project achieved national attention when the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) did a feature article on the project in their INSPIRATION LAB, an online blog/e-zine focused on inspiring stories in independent schools. You can read the NAIS article here.
Kyle is extremely proud of this project as it places an immense amount of technology into a very traditional classroom in such a way as to respect the history of the space. Kyle worked closely with the architect, the school’s advancement office, donors, renovation specialists, and, of course, the faculty to create a premier space that keeps the technology “under the hood.”
