Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), Washington, DC

CoSN is the national premier professional organization for technology leaders in K-12 education.  For over two decades, CoSN has provided leaders with the management, community building, and advocacy tools that they need to succeed.  Today, CoSN represents over 10 million students in schools and school districts nationwide.

 

CTO Council

The CTO Council is a national-level committee for CoSN focused on providing guidance and professional development for the nation’s chief technology officers in schools across the country.  The council provides advice and counsel to the CoSN CEO as well as to the Project Manager, who oversees the organization’s leadership initiatives.

 

Small Schools Leadership

The Small Schools Leadership committee focuses, as the name implies, on leadership with respect to technology in smaller schools and districts.  The emphasis is on the unique challenges posed by small schools and how the resources of CoSN can be leveraged to support these districts in their technology and educational technology initiatives.

 

Pottstown School District, Pottstown, PA

The Pottstown School District is a local school district in Pottstown, PA serving approximately 3,200 students in grades K-12.

 

Occupational Advisory Committee

The Occupational Advisory Committee concerns itself with the district’s occupational program offerings and provides advice to the district on current job skills requirements such that students graduating from the program are career-ready at graduation.

 

 

Past Board/Committee Memberships

 

Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE), Bedford, MA

MassCUE is a large and powerful local affiliate of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and founded by noted educational leader Alan November.  MassCUE promotes the use of technology throughout the state, and it runs an impressive array of professional development programs for educators.  MassCUE is noted for its Annual Technology Conference held in Gillette Stadium, the home of the New England Patriots.

 

Board of Directors, Communications Chair

The Board of Directors is the top governing body of MassCUE, responsible for setting strategy for the organization and planning the organization’s large annual conference.  As the Communications Chair, oversaw the organization’s communications to the public and to the 750+ active members and 100+ corporate members.  Managed the organization’s implementation of a new website, and assured content alignment with organizational goals and strategy.

 

Harvard-Radcliffe Club of New Hampshire, Manchester, NH

The Harvard-Radcliffe Club of New Hampshire serves the alumni of all Harvard programs residing in New Hampshire.  The club runs several programs throughout the year, including a signature annual banquet.

 

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the club, overseeing the funds and operations of the club, including its charitable working supporting students in service fellowships.  The club also administers the Harvard Book Prize throughout the state.  As board member, oversaw the creation of a club website and created an online registration system to bolster alumni attendance at club events.

Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA

The Harvard-Radcliffe Club of Philadelphia serves alumni, parents, and students of Harvard University who live in the greater Philadelphia area.  The Club offers opportunities to meet and socialize with members of the local Harvard community. It also enables its members to keep up with events in Cambridge and to work on behalf of the University.

 

Alumni Interviewer

Assist the Harvard Admissions Office annually by conducting alumni interviews of applicants to the undergraduate program.

 

Association for Educational Communications and Technology, Bloomington, IN

The Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) is a professional association of thousands of educators and others whose activities are directed toward improving instruction through technology.  AECT members may be found in colleges and universities; in the Armed Forces and industry; in museums, libraries, and hospitals; in the many places where educational change is underway.  AECT members carry out a wide range of responsibilities in the study, planning, application, and production of communications media for instruction.

 

Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA

The Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP) is an association of individuals, corporations and organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region. Its purpose is to bring the peoples of Japan and the United States closer together in understanding, appreciation and cooperation by promoting and encouraging a better understanding of the business, cultural, social, educational and political practices and customs of Japan and the United States.

 

Japanese Association of Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA

The Japanese Association of Greater Philadelphia promotes friendship among Japanese residing in the region, provides information and counseling to Japanese newcomers to the region, supports and helps Japanese students studying in the region, provides continued care to the aged Japanese living alone in the region, holds programs and activities for the purpose of promoting the understanding of Japanese culture as well as American culture, and promotes exchange between Japanese and American residents through cultural and educational programs.
